Our Independence Day -WE'RE OUT!!!

After all the praying, crying, complaining, and doubts, we learned today that Paula is finally OUT of PGN!!! We got the phone call today at 12:30, from Kathy, our coordinator. What a way to enjoy a holiday weekend. We were told that she was released from PGN on July 4th...our baby got her independence on Independence Day! Wooo Hooo!

Paul and I spent the rest of the day on cloud 9! I was with my Mom and Dad when the call came and we immediately went out to order the crib and nursery furniture. I called a few people and Paul called to tell his parents and we're all doing the Happy Baby Dance and are realizing how quickly things can change when you least expect it!

For those wondering, the next step is having the Final Adoption Decree signed, and once that is done, a new birth certificate will be made, naming Paul and I as her parents. That will take around 2 weeks. Then comes the DNA authorization and after that it's time to pick our sweetie up! All of this will take approximately 6-8 weeks.

Finally, the light at the end of the tunnel is brighter!
